Kislan, a lifelong resident of Somerville, started at Reps when he was 17. Service manager Tony Cicalese worked there for 25 years and Sales Manager Steve Kislan has been a loyal employee for 23. The Kaplans are not the only longtime Reps staff members. It's become a tradition for the next generations.

Often, they share the fact that their father brought them in at the same age.

Many longtime customers have brought their children into Reps for a first weight bench or treadmill, Mitch Kaplan said.
